Cash Box (treasury)

Track the physical cash drawer — what came in, what went out, what's left.

💡

Key ideaOpening balance + cash in − cash out = balance. Owner funding & cash sales count as cash-in (not revenue), and paid bills/salaries/supplier payments auto-post here when paid in cash.

  1. 1Pick the month (and branch). See Opening / Cash in / Cash out / Balance.
  2. 2Add a movement: In (owner funding, cash sales…) or Out (supplier, expense, salaries, petty cash…).
  3. 3Choosing 'Supplier' lets you pick the supplier — it records a real payment and lowers what you owe.
  4. 4Reconcile: type the cash you counted and it posts the difference as an adjustment.
  5. 5Export to CSV or PDF.

💡 Only payments marked 'Paid by: Cash' appear here — bank/transfer payments stay in Expenses only.

Cash Box (treasury)

All your running costs in one ledger.

Key ideaWhen you mark an expense paid, choose Paid by Cash / Bank / Other — only Cash flows into the Cash Box, so the two stay in sync with no double entry.

  2. 2Mark each paid/unpaid and pick how it was paid (cash/bank).
  3. 3Routed into the P&L automatically.

Key ideaNet = earned + bonus − deductions − approved advances. Mark each paid as Cash / Bank — Cash payments post to the Cash Box.

  1. 1Salaries, bonuses, deductions and net pay, pro-rated by days worked.
  2. 2Approved advances show as a deduction column automatically.
  3. 3Mark each employee paid and choose Cash/Bank.

Salary advances staff request during the month.

Key ideaRequest → approve part or all → it's automatically deducted from that month's payroll.

  1. 1Pick the month, choose an employee, enter the requested amount and date.
  2. 2Approve (edit the approved amount if you give less) or reject.
  3. 3Edit any row's amount/date/note later with ✎ Edit.
  4. 4Approved advances are subtracted from that person's net pay.
